Transitional Jobs Program
The Transitional Jobs Program provides time limited wage paying jobs that combine real work, skill development and coordinated services to overcome barriers to permanent employment.
The program lasts 3 to 6 months depending on barriers. It allows people to meet necessary appointments for services, court and other mandatory meetings while still retaining their employment.
While in the Transitional Jobs Program participants will attend various classes such as budget and finance, problem solving and critical thinking, how to create a resume, appropriate work behavior and computer literacy. Participants will be given a certificate of completion for each class to take with them in future job placement.
