There are almost 3,000 self-sustaining sober houses in the US and other countries using the Oxford model. New Beginnings owns 6 of those in Hutchinson and continually promotes their democratically ran model More than 20,000 individuals in these recovery houses at any one time and 35,000 throughout the year following three basic principles:

-Democratically self-run

-Financially self-sustained

-Expels anyone who return to using drugs or alcohol

​

In Hutchinson there are 11 Oxford Houses providing 90 beds.
